Murugan will visit Shivamogga on Thursday, February 26, to inaugurate the 10kW transmitter of Akashavani Shivamogga. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has set up the facility at a cost of nearly ₹10 crore. With the new facility, the Akshavani Shivamogga programmes will reach listeners spread over 100 km from Shivamogga. The Union Minister will inaugurate the facility at 12.30 p.m., and will be accompanied by B.Y. Raghavendra, Shivamogga MP, Minister for School Education Madhu Bangarappa, and other elected representatives of the district, said a communique from Akashavani Shivamogga on February 24.
