The police on Tuesday (February 24, 2026) stepped up road safety enforcement and visible policing initiatives across Sri Sathya Sai district. As part of the initiative, Deputy Superintendent of Police K.V. Simultaneously, a district-wide visible policing was carried out at major highways and junctions in Penukonda, Puttaparthi, Dharmavaram, and Hindupur sub-divisions. Officers checked driving licences, registration certificates, helmet and seat belt usage, and booked twelve motorists on charges of drunk driving.

Meanwhile, during road safety inspections in Puttaparthi, Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar urged the public to cooperate during inspections, carry valid documents at all times, and immediately report suspicious vehicles or persons to the police.
