The National Highways Authority of India may not construct a flyover at the Saravanampatti junction in Coimbatore. | Photo Credit: Siva SaravananS The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is awaiting details on the take over of NH 948 that connects Coimbatore and Bengaluru via Sathyamangalam. An official of the NHAI told The Hindu on Tuesday that there are some projects that are under way on the stretch in Coimbatore city and there are works planned that are in the tender stage. “We are awaiting clarity on the distance of the road that will be taken over by the NHAI, which will continue the ongoing projects, and implement the planned projects,” he said.
