The Tamil Nadu Teachers’ Recruitment Board (TRB) has begun the scrutiny of objections to the answer key for the examination held in December 2025 for recruitment to the post of assistant professors in government arts and science colleges and government colleges of education. The tentative key was released on January 5, 2026, along with an objection tracker. Candidates were instructed to submit their objections and representations online till January 13, 2026. An expert committee has been set up to go through the objections and come out with the final key before the results are announced. A total of 47,048 candidates had enrolled for the examination, with 42,064 candidates writing it at 196 centres set up across the State. According to the notification, there were 2,708 vacancies to be filled.
