Ramachandran, has decided to support the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), led by actor Vijay. “The TVK is free of the politics of identity. This is why we are supporting him,” Mr. Ramachandran told this journalist, after announcing the move at a meeting of workers of the party in Kancheepuram on Monday (February 23, 2026) evening. He clarified that his party would not contest the Assembly election but would seek support for the TVK.
