‘Subedaar’ trailer: Army man Anil Kapoor turns vengeful in Suresh Triveni’s actioner

The trailer of Anil Kapoor’s upcoming film, Subedaar was unveiled by the makers on Monday, February 23, 2026. Directed by Suresh Triveni, who has written it with Prajwal Chandrashekhar, the actioner also stars Saurabh Shukla, Mona Singh, Aditya Rawal, Radhika Madan, Khushboo Sundar and Faisal Malik in pivotal roles.

The trailer opens with image of a deserted land as we see Mona as the menacing Babli Didi, who wants to keep fear alive in people’s minds. Her brother, Prince (Aditya) is a local goon wrecking havoc in town with his violence. Anil plays Subedaar Arjun Maurya, who is appointed as the driver of Prince. The two come face-to-face during a pivotal moment as Prince makes a disrespectful remark. Arjun is enraged and smashes them all. Radhika plays the daughter of Arjun, who seems to have been attacked by Prince and others. The film promises to be a hinterland actioner, full of thrills, chills and a lot of dialoguebaazi.

Speaking about the film, Anil said in a statement, “Playing this character has been one of the most powerful and emotionally demanding experiences of my career. Subedaar Arjun is a man defined by discipline, sacrifice, and deep personal loss, and bringing that to life on screen was both challenging and incredibly fulfilling for me as an actor.“

Suresh added, “Subedaar is a tribute to the mainstream cinema I grew up with. It’s a tribute as an Anil Kapoor fan boy. While it deals with a retired army man acclimatising to the civilian life deep inside it’s a father daughter story. This film is personal and has been challenging, a feat that I couldn’t have achieved without my team.”

The film is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Anil and Suresh. It will be released on Prime Video on March 5.
