A class 10 student was allegedly murdered by a group of minor boys at Sulebailu in Shivamogga city, in Karnataka, late in the evening on February 23.

The incident occurred when the boy was returning home after attending special classes. He was allegedly attacked by three or four minor boys.

Shivamogga Superintendent of Police B. Nikhil told the media that a minor boy had been murdered at Sulebailu in the city. “Following an argument, the boy was attacked. He collapsed, and later died. We have taken two boys, who are minors, into custody,” he said.

Shivamogga MLA S.N. Channabasappa and others visited the hospital, and expressed shock over the incident.

The police have been deployed across the city to avoid any untoward incident.
