VSP staff donates platelets for child with cancer

K.V.L.N. Reddy, General Foreman (Mechanical), Raw Material Handling Plant – Works Division, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), donated Single Donor Platelets (SDP) to support G. Ramyatha Achyutha (9) from Bhimavaram in West Godavari, who is undergoing treatment for blood cancer at Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (HBCHRC) at Aganampudi, on Monday.

This marks the 63rd time that Mr. Reddy has donated blood (B+), and the second time he has donated Single Donor Platelets (SDP) — a specialised and vital donation that directly supports critical cancer patients. An active Sevadal member associated with Ukkunagaram Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Mr. Reddy beyond his professional responsibilities at RINL, he participates in various service activities and is also known as a gifted singer who spreads devotion through music.
