Former Chief Minister M. Veerappa Moily said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the Kisan Sabha auditorium, built by the Kisan Sabha Trust, and the 35th annual celebrations of the Mahatma Gandhi Residential High School in Kukkundur, Karkala, on Wednesday, February 25.

Speaking at a press conference organised at the school on Monday, February 23, Mr. Moily said that the main objective of the school is to provide free food, accommodation, and education to educationally backward rural children. Currently, 103 poor students from all categories are receiving quality education at the residential school without any fees.

Mr. Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the new building of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan in Kabettu at 11.30 a.m., followed by the inauguration of the Kisan Sabha auditorium on Taluk Office Road. After that, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the 35th annual day celebrations of the school at Nitte Vinaya Hegde Bayalu Ranga Mandir in Kukkundur, Mr. Moily said.

District in-charge Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, School Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa, Social Welfare Minister H.C. Mahadevappa, V. Sunil Kumar, MLA, SDCC Bank president M.N. Rajendra Kumar and others will attend the programme, Mr. Moily said.

Sri Narayana Guru Development Corporation president Manjunath Poojary, Kisan Sabha Trust president Harsha Moily, and others were present.
