The Indian Institute of Management-Tiruchi (IIM-T) has been conferred the prestigious Institutional Excellence Award 2025 by Project Management Associates India (PMA India), the Indian member association of the International Project Management Association (IPMA). According to an official press release, the award was presented at the IPMA Global Project Profession Forum 2026, held recently in Chennai. Satish S. Maheswarappa, Dean (Academics), received the award on behalf of the institute from Information Technology and Digital Services Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan. Senior leaders from IPMA, PMA India, and other dignitaries were present. The award recognises institutions that demonstrate sustained commitment to advancing the discipline and practice of project management through academic rigour, industry engagement, and professional certification outcomes. The institute has consistently integrated conceptual foundations with applied learning, equipping students with globally benchmarked project management competencies. In a step towards strengthening specialised capacity in the infrastructure domain, IIM-T has inaugurated the Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Advanced Infrastructure Project Management, the release added.
