Union Minister for Civil Aviation K. Rammohan Naidu said that expansion of banking services will spur economic activity in rural areas and benefit villagers in all aspects. He formally inaugurated the State Bank of India’s new branch in Nimmada village of Srikakulam district on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Narendra Modi government had brought significant reforms in banking sector with the Jan Dhan yojana launched 11 years ago. He added that the financial inclusion initiative benefits each and every family in the country. SBI Amaravati Circle Chief General Manager Rajesh Kumar Patril, the bank senior officials Heamanth Kumar, Rahul Sakaria, Uday Kumar, Nagarju and others were present. Earlier, the Union Minister took part in several charitable activities both in Srikakulam, Tekkali, Nimmada and other places on the occasion of his father and former Union Minister K. Yerrannaidu’s 69th birth anniversary.
