The Telangana High Court on Monday (February 23) cautioned some departments of the State government that it would impose costs on them if they failed to reply to the notices over steps taken to check inflow of sewerage and industrial effluents into the reservoirs of Himayatsagar and Osmansagar. A bench of Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin, hearing a taken-up PIL petition, expressed dissatisfaction over the departments of GHMC, HMDA, Pollution Control Board, Municipal Administration, Irrigation and Command Area Development not responding to the notices issued earlier. The bench instructed these wings to file replies by March 26.
