Collector K. Elambahavath on Monday released the final electoral rolls of Thoothukudi district in the presence of representatives of recognised political parties. The total number of voters stands at 13,76,624 across six constituencies of the district. This includes a total of 6,71,742 men, 7,04,689 women and 193 third genders. In a draft electoral roll released last December, the total number of voters in the district was at 13,28,158. Subsequently applications for deletion, correction, address change were received between December 19, 2025 and January 30, this year. After thorough scrutiny, the final electoral roll was released with the deletion of 9,626 members from the voters list and addition of 58,092 into the list. The number of voters in constituency wise is as follows: Vilathikulam 2,03,732 voters with 99,913 men, 1,03,804 women and 15 others. In Thoothukudi, the total number stood at 2,48,300 with 1,20,614 men, 1,27,623 women and 63 others. The total number of voters in Tiruchendur is 2,30,702 voters with 1,12,367 men, 1,18,305 women and 30 others. In Srivaikuntam total number of men is 1,05,099, women is 1,07,782 and third genders is 4, totalling 2,12,885 voters. Ottapidaram has 1,17,432 men, 1,23,502 women and 54 others, with a total of 2,40,988 voters. 1,16,317 men, 1, 23,673 women and 27 others totalling to a 2,40,017 voters in Kovilpatti. In Kanniyakumari district the number of voters in the final electoral roll released by Kanniyakumari District Collector R. Alagumeena stood at 15,10,550. The number has increased from 14,39,499 voters mentioned in the draft electoral roll released in December 2025. The number of voters across the six constituencies are as follows: Kanniyakumari 1,41,230 (Male), 1,45,643 (Female) and 95 (others), 2,86,968 in total. Nagercoil 1,25,873 (M), 1,31,139 (F) and 10 (others) having a total of 2,57,022 voters. Colachel has 1,31,885 (M), 1,31,562 (F) and 1 (others), with a total of 2,63,448 voters. Padmanabhapuram has 1,16,895 (M), 1,17,142 (F) and 19 (others), totalling 2,34,056 voters. Vilavancode 1,11,990 (M), 1,13,226 (F) and 3 (others) total 2,25,219 voters. Killiyoor has 1,23,143 (M), 1,20,678 (F) and 16 (others), with a total of 2,43,837 voters. In Kanniyakumari district, the total number of male voters is 7,51,016, female voters is 7,59,390 and others are at 144.
