District Revenue Officer K. Madhusudhan Rao on Monday warned officials of strict action against malpractice, ordering foolproof arrangements for the upcoming SSC examinations Addressing a coordination review meeting at the Collectorate here, the DRO reviewed arrangements for the examinations scheduled from March 16 to April 1, with officials from the Education, Police, Health, APSPDCL, APSRTC, and Treasury departments in attendance. District Educational Officer K. Subrahmanyam said that as many as 22,149 students will appear for the SSC examinations across 124 centres in Annamayya district. Of the total students, 11,012 are boys and 11,137 girls, while 623 candidates are making a reappearance. Meanwhile, The DEO said that SSC and Intermediate examinations under the Andhra Pradesh Open School Society will be held on on the same dates, from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.. A total of 2,370 candidates, including 648 for SSC and 1,722 for Intermediate, will appear for the exams. Stressing zero tolerance for lapses, the DRO instructed officials to ensure the secure transportation of question papers and answer scripts, maintenance of law and order, uninterrupted power supply, and operation of adequate bus services during examination hours. He also directed Health officials to deploy 104 and 108 emergency services at centres and ensure the availability of ORS packets.
