IRCS Dakshina Kannada branch managing committee members elected for 2026-29

A team led by Shantharam Shetty, who was the chairman of Dakshina Kannada District Branch of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) from 2022-23 to 2024-25, has bagged all 10 seats of the managing committee of the branch for 2026-29.

The results of the election held for 10 seats on Sunday, February 22, were declared on Monday, February 23. There were 19 contestants in the fray.

In all, 1,388 voters of total 3,654 voters had cast their votes. Election Commissioner U. Mahesh Kumar declared 24 votes cast as invalid.

The managing committee members elected for the next three years are Shantharam Shetty (votes polled 1,005); B. Sumana (876); Satish Rao (870); B. Sachidananda Rai (868); Raghavendra Rao (844); Pushparaj Jain (835); P.B. Hariprasad Rai (810); Yatish Baikampady (797); Sacheth Suvarna (762), and Gurudutt M. Nayak (762).
