District Collector and District Election Officer Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar released the final electoral rolls for Coimbatore district on Monday following the Special Intensive Revision, with the total electorate placed at 26,96,813.

The final rolls comprise 13,00,889 male voters, 13,95,396 female voters and 528 third gender voters.

The district had 32,25,198 voters as on October 27, 2025. When the draft electoral roll was published on December 19, 2025, the electorate stood at 25,74,608, comprising 12,43,282 men, 13,30,807 women and 519 third gender voters. At that stage, 6,50,590 names, accounting for 20.17%, were removed.

During the claims and objections period held between December 19, 2025, and January 30, 2026, 1,64,518 names were added and 42,313 names were deleted. Of these deletions, 40,679 were due to shifting of residence, 1,316 were identified as multiple entries and 318 were removed following deaths. After incorporating these changes, the electorate registered a net increase of 1,22,205 voters over the draft rolls, marking a 4.75% rise and bringing the total to 26,96,813.

The age distribution shows 53,646 voters in the 18–19 age group and 4,45,567 in the 20–29 age group. The 30–39 segment accounts for 5,17,774 voters, while the 40–49 age group forms the largest block at 5,86,923. In the 50–59 age group, there are 5,16,139 voters. Among senior citizens, the 60–69 age group totals 3,46,574 and the 70–79 age group 1,75,668. The 80–89 age group comprises 48,811 voters, the 90–99 age group 5,553, and the 100–109 age group 154, while the 110–119 and 120+ age groups record two female voters each.

Across the 10 Assembly constituencies in the district, Kavundampalayam has 4,07,507 voters, the highest in the district. Sulur accounts for 3,03,541 electors and Kinathukadavu 3,00,486. Coimbatore (North) records 2,91,533 voters and Mettupalayam 2,90,059. Thondamuthur has 2,87,442 electors and Singanallur 2,66,058. Pollachi accounts for 2,02,015 voters and Coimbatore (South) for 1,86,509. Valparai (SC), with 1,72,284 electors, has the lowest electorate in the district.

The district has 3,117 polling stations functioning across 1,062 locations. The final rolls also list 522 service voters, 249 overseas voters, 14,231 persons with disabilities and 20,614 senior citizens aged 85 years and above.

The District Collector told reporters that voters can still request corrections and seek assistance from BLOs. A supplementary rolls will be published, with special camps organised as directed by the Election Commission. The increase in polling stations reflects space requirements and provisions for future additions.

In Tiruppur district, according to the final electoral rolls, the total number of electors stands at 19,55,283. The district’s Assembly constituencies are Dharapuram (SC) with 2,20,743 voters, Kangeyam with 2,16,646, Avinashi (SC) with 2,50,346, Tiruppur (North) with 3,10,138, Tiruppur (South) with 1,93,614, Palladam with 3,22,530, Udumalaipettai with 2,28,524, and Madathukulam with 2,12,742 electors. The district has a total of 2,822 polling stations, with 9,44,178 male voters, 10,10,853 female voters, and 252 third gender voters.
