Apollo Pharmacy on Sunday (February 22, 2026) opened its 1,000th store in Andhra Pradesh, here in Visakhapatnam. The landmark store was inaugurated by Commissioner of Police Shankhabrata Bagchi, in the presence of Apollo Pharmacy CEO P. Jayakumar, and Apollo Pharmacy COO Balamurugan. On the occasion, Mr. Shankhabrata Bagchi, said “Access to genuine medicines and wellness products is a core pillar of public health. I congratulate Apollo Pharmacy on building healthcare infrastructure at a scale that serves citizens effectively, and wish them continued success in serving the people of A.P.” Mr. Jayakumar also announced that over the next two years, they are planning to open more than 150 new stores in Andhra Pradesh, further expanding access across communities. The authorities from Apollo Pharmacy stated that they operate across 15 districts of Andhra Pradesh, and employ over 7,000 people, and provide access to 50,000+ genuine medicines and wellness essentials across urban and semi-urban communities.
