The Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) leader, T.T.V. Dhinakaran, on Saturday said that O. Panneerselvam could go to any extent for the sake of ‘power’. Mr. Dhinakaran told presspersons in Kumbakonam that the AMMK leader said that Mr. Panneerselvam and MLA Ayyappan had harmed the reputation of M.G. Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa. “Let him join the DMK and get some postings”, Mr. Dhinakaran said. The DMK government had distributed ₹5,000 urgently thinking that it could win the elections with the power of money, he said. Claiming that farmers, government employees, teachers, and youth were deceived by the DMK, Mr. Dhinakaran alleged the party had deceived the Adi Dravidars and Tribals too by diverting ₹11,000 crore allocated for their development to other schemes. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was trying to bring the corrupt DMK rule to an end, he said and alleged that the DMK government was trying to protect the Municipal Administration Minister K.N. Nehru in the corruption case to be filed at the intervention of the High Court.
