A 44-year-old man died after accidentally falling under a moving train at Secunderabad Railway Station shortly after midnight on Saturday, February 21, 2026. The deceased, identified as Nukathoti Nagaraju, was working as a reporter with National News and a resident of Urban Colony in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. He had come to Secunderabad intending to travel to Ongole and reportedly mistook the 12721 Express for the Simhapuri Express. The incident came to light after the railway police received information from the Deputy Station Superintendent that a man had slipped while attempting to board the train on platform 10. He died on the spot. A case was booked and further investigation is underway.
