Ahead of the Assembly elections, the final electoral roll has been published in the district. As per the revised list, the district has a total of 26,57,478 voters. Of these, 12,98,343 are men, 13,59,102 are women, and 33 are transgender people. The list was published after completing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.

Officials said that 534 new polling stations had been created in the district, taking the total number to 2,837.

The gender ratio in the district stands at 1,047 women for every 1,000 men. The final roll also includes 57,679 overseas voters. EPIC (Electors Photo Identity Card) coverage has reached 100%.

As part of the SIR-2026, the final electoral roll was published on Saturday (February 21). Officials said that in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, copies of the final electoral roll were handed over by the Electoral Registration Officers to recognised political parties. The final roll was published after considering objections and claims received on the draft electoral roll published on December 23.

The final electoral roll is available for verification on the official website of the State Chief Electoral Officer at www.ceo.kerala.gov.in. Copies are also available at the offices of the Electoral Registration Officers, with the concerned Booth Level Officers (BLOs), village offices and at local self-government institutions. Representatives of all recognised political parties can obtain copies of the electoral roll from the offices of the Electoral Registration Officers.
