Terming the protest of YSRCP members by holding the photographs of Lord Venkateswara in the Legislative Council as unfortunate, Minister for Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath has said the YSRCP leaders should mend their ways and discuss the issues concerning the people in the Legislative Council and Assembly rather than disrupting them.

Mr. Bharath, along with Kurnool Urban Development Authority (KUDA) chairperson Somisetty Venkateswarlu, district president Gudise Krishnamma and others cleaned the Sri Venkateswara temple at Sankalbagh in Kurnool to protest against the YSRCP MLCs’ alleged disrespect towards Lord Venkateswara with their protests. Mr. Bharath said the YSRCP members brought the Council to a halt and did not allow discussion of important issues and government policies.

Stating that the ghee supplied to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for preparation of laddus was adulterated during the previous regime, Mr. Bharath said YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy should personally visit Tirumala and admit his mistake in front of Lord Venkateswara rather than raising an unnecessary hue and cry.

“Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy should realise his misdeeds and mend his ways. Any person who meddles with Lord Venkateswara will face the consequences,” he said and added that he prayed the God to give wisdom to the YSRCP leaders.
