The final electoral rolls for Kottayam and Pathanamthitta districts have been published following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. In Kottayam, the updated list comprises 14,98,824 voters, including 7,30,005 men, 7,68,805 women, and 14 transgender voters. Compared to the draft roll published on December 23, the final list shows a decrease of 1,61,262 voters. At a function held here on Saturday, District Election Officer and Collector Chetan Kumar Meena handed over copies of the Kottayam Assembly constituency roll to representatives of recognised political parties. Following the draft publication, 40,912 new voters were added across the district. Among the Assembly constituencies, Poonjar has the highest number of voters at 1,83,222, followed by Pala 1,74,429, Kaduthuruthy 1,74,752, Vaikom 1,54,973, Ettumanur 1,57,360, Kottayam 1,47,747, Puthuppally 1,69,064, Changanassery 1,61,214, and Kanjirappally 1,76,063. In Pathanamthitta district, the final voter list includes 9,74,802 voters, comprising 5,08,251 women, 4,66,546 men, and five transgender voters. The district initially had 10,47,976 registered voters. Among its five Assembly constituencies, Aranmula has the highest number of voters at 2,13,732. The counts in other constituencies are: Adoor 1,99,939, Thiruvalla 1,97,164, Konni 1,88,793, and Ranni 1,75,174.
