Man bludgeons 21-year-old wife to death

A 21-year-old woman was murdered allegedly by her husband following a domestic dispute and suspicion of an illicit relationship, at Kulle Gowdanapalya in the jurisdiction of the Kaggalipura Police Station on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Sinchana, 21.

According to preliminary investigation, the accused, Renukaiah, frequently quarrelled with his wife, after she suspected his character. On Friday, an argument reportedly broke out between the couple. In a fit of rage, he allegedly lifted a stone and brutally attacked her right outside their house before fleeing from the scene.

The police said Sinchana sustained severe head injuries, and died on the spot.

Upon receiving information, the police personnel conducted a mahazar, and shifted the body for post-mortem examination.

A case of murder has been registered, and a probe has been launched to nab the fleeing accused, said the police.
