Alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi tarnished India’s image in the international arena, workers of the Shivamogga city unit of the Youth Congress staged a protest in Shivamogga on Saturday and demanded Modi’s removal from office.

The party workers assembled at Shivappa Nayaka Circle and raised slogans against the BJP and Modi. The party’s district president, R. Prasanna Kumar, stated that the recently released Jeffrey Epstein files contained references to Modi. In the leaked files, the sex offender claimed that U.S. President Donald Trump had played a role in the Prime Minister’s visit to Israel in 2017. He urged the President to remove the Prime Minister immediately.

KPCC general secretary N. Ramesh said that the Prime Minister had failed to safeguard the interests of Indian farmers in the trade deal with the U.S. The poor farmers could not compete with the corporate farmers from the U.S. “Modi does not deserve to continue in his position,” he stated. Party spokesperson Ramesh Hegde alleged that Modi had been misleading the public by repeating lies. He coined the slogan “Make in India,” but it has hardly become a reality in the country, he alleged

Party youth leaders Madhusudan, Girish, Akbhar, Charan Shetty and others led the protest.
