Legal personalities, life and lessons, a book in English about the legal luminaries of Karnataka by advocate Aniketan Suvvi will be released in Bengaluru on February 22.

The 25-year-old author’s debut work records his interaction with 16 personalities, including judges, senior advocates, and legal scholars. The publisher is Chandrakant Vaddu of Ankura Publications

Justice A. S. Bopanna, former judge of the Supreme Court, has written the foreword for the book.

The articles are about important personalities, like Justice M. N. Venkatachalaiah, former Chief Justice of India, Justice N. Santosh Hegde, Justice Shivaraj Patil, and Justice R. V. Raveendran.

It includes write-ups about advocate and Booker-winning author Bhanu Mushtaq, Supreme Court senior advocate Mohan Katarki, and Nalini Mayegowda.

Uday Holla, former advocate-general, has described the book as ‘a road map for the next generation of legal minds’ and a ‘must-read for anyone committed to the noble pursuit of law’.

Aniketan Suvvi picked up the pen early in life to write articles for magazines and newspapers. He said that he was motivated to write a book after meeting former advocate-general B. V. Acharya, who had kept copies of some his newspaper articles.

Mr. Suvvi’s family hails from Ballari district. He is an author-advocate practising in the High Court of Karnataka. He has an LLB and LLM in constitutional and administrative law from Christ deemed-to-be-university.

M. Veerappa Moily, former CM, will release the book in the Dr. H. N. multimedia hall in National College at Basavanagudi at 10.30 a.m.

Anil Joseph Pinto, Registrar of Christ university, and Sapna S., dean, school of law in Christ university, are expected to participate. Justice H. N. Nagamohan Das will preside over the event.
