Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered a disproportionate assets case against Sundari Kiran Kumar, Assistant Director in the Agriculture Department, Kalwakurthy Division of Nagarkurnool district on Saturday (February 21, 2026).

The case follows simultaneous searches carried out by the ACB officials on Saturday at seven locations linked to the accused officer and his associates. The raids were carried out in Hyderabad, Thukkuguda and at his native village Ponugode in Garidepally mandal of Suryapet district, besides other places in Suryapet district.

Properties identified

Preliminary findings during the searches revealed that the official allegedly amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. So far, the officers identified agricultural lands spread across nearly 100 acres, 10 house plots, five houses and flats, four four-wheeler vehicles and five tractors.

The market value of the assets unearthed during the searches is estimated to be around ₹15 crore, while officials suspect the actual value could be approximately ₹50 crore. Search proceedings are continuing and a detailed assessment of the assets is under way.
