FC Goa struck twice in the opening half to defeat Mohammedan Sporting 2-0 in their Indian Super League clash at the Kishore Bharati Stadium in Kolkata on Friday (February 20, 2026).

The victory handed Goa its first win of the season and took its tally to three points from two matches, while Mohammedan Sporting slumped to its second consecutive defeat.

Goa, which had earlier fought back to secure a 1-1 draw against Inter Kashi in its opener at home, found its rhythm early against Sporting.

The breakthrough came in just the fourth minute when Spanish defender Pol Moreno rose above the Mohammedan defence to head home from a corner.

The early goal allowed the Gaurs to dictate proceedings as they continued to press forward in search of a second.

The moment arrived in the 31st minute following a defensive lapse.

The Mohammedan goalkeeper Subhajit Bhattacharjee rushed out to challenge Goa winger Udanta Singh inside the penalty area and brought him down.

Serbian forward Dejan Drazic calmly converted from the spot to give Goa a comfortable cushion heading into the break.

Goa managed the second half efficiently while Mohammedan Sporting, one of the few teams in the competition without a foreign recruit, struggled to find a breakthrough.

The result: Mohammedan Sporting 0 lost to FC Goa 2 (Pol Moreno 4, Dejan Drazic 32-pen).
