A leopard was found dead in a pond near the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple near Bairavappa Konda on the outskirts of Rayadurgam in Anantapur district. Forest officials believe that the big cat entered the pond to drink water, got stuck in the mud and died later. Locals noticed the carcass and alerted the Forest department.
