Senior IPS officer N. Balasubrahmanyam assuming charge as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of APSRTC in Vijayawada on Friday.

Senior IPS officer N. Balasubrahmanyam formally assumed charge as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) on Friday.

Executive Director (Administration) K. S. Brahmananda Reddy and others greeted him at the RTC House. Interacting with them, Mr. Balaaubrahmanyam insisted that top priority would be given to passenger safety, punctuality, cleanliness and improvement of services. He emphasised the need to strengthen public transport and enhance the quality of services provided to passengers.

He also highlighted the need to introduce eco-friendly electric buses to improve operational efficiency and ensure financial stability of the APSRTC. Mr. Balasubrahmanyam appealed to the officials and employees to work with dedication and discipline ensuring team work to strengthen APSRTC and to provide better services to the public.

APSRTC Executive Directors A. Appala Raju (Operations) and G. V. Ravi Varma (Engineering), Chief Personnel Manager V.V. Sreedhar, senior officers, supervisors and representatives of various associations were present.
