Police have arrested a domestic help for stealing 35 gm of gold jewellery from her employer’s house in Bommanahalli. The accused has been identified as Pramila, 35. Recently, her employer, a businessman, had lodged a complaint of theft. On suspicion, Pramila was questioned by the police when she reportedly confessed to the crime. According to the police, Pramila was in a relationship with Sudhakar, whom she had known from her previous job at a garments factory. Sudhakar was already married and had two children. Around the time of Sankranthi festival, Sudhakar reportedly demanded ₹20,000 from Pramila to repay his debts. She allegedly stole a gold chain from the house where she was working, pawned it at a gold shop in Bommanahalli and gave him the money. The police have recovered the gold chain and arrested Sudhakar as well.
