The film is headlined by Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari Wagh and marks the return of Sooraj to the traditional romance and family storytelling space. Sharing his thoughts on coming on board the film, Swanand said in a press release, “When I heard the world of Yeh Prem Mol Liya, I was deeply moved by its emotional simplicity and sincerity. What I love about Sooraj ji’s writing is that even the silences carry meaning. There is dignity, restraint and warmth in the way he builds relationships on screen. As an actor, that is both challenging and fulfilling because you are required to underplay and yet remain emotionally present.” More details from the project are awaited. The film is currently in production. Swanand was recently seen in Prime Video’s web-series, Bandwaale, where he also served as the co-writer and co-creator. Sooraj is best known for making epic family dramas like Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Hum Saath Saath Hai and Vivaah among others. His last directorial, Uunchai came out in 2022 and starred Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani and Anupam Kher in the lead.
