Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has asked Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta to organise Women Police Sports Meet separately. “Everybody should give priority for sports. Games and Sports will give much relief to police personnel who are always busy in their duties,” Ms. Anitha said. The Home Minister, along with DGP and other police officers inaugurated the Second All India Police South Zone T-20 Cricket Tournament at APSP 6th Battalion, on Friday (February 20). Ten teams, including Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar, ITBP and NSG will play in the tournament, Mr. Harish Kumar Gupta said. The tournament will be conducted up to February 24, and tight security has been arranged for the five-day event, the DGP said.
