Kerala has a little over 2.69 crore voters as per the final voters list prepared by the Election Commission of India (EC) after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the roll.

The final electoral roll will be formally published on Saturday (February 21, 2026) as per the schedule announced by the ECI, Chief Electoral Officer (Kerala) Rathan U. Kelkar said in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday (February 20, 2026). Of the 2,69,53,644 voters in all, 1,38,27,319 are women, 1,31,26,048 are men and 277 are transgender voters.

The total number also includes 2,23,558 overseas electors and 54,110 service voters. New voters, or voters in the 18-19 age group, number 4,24,518. In all, 2,04,608 are in the 85-plus age group.

Voters in the person’s with disabilities (PwD) category number 2,43,698.

Interistingly, the ECI list, which will be published on Saturday, will have a little over 16.54 lakh voters less than the voters’ list used in Kerala for the local body elections held in December 2025. The list prepared by the State Election Commission for the local body elections had 2,86,07,658 voters.

At a meeting of political parties held on Friday, the CPI(M) representative M.V. Jayarajan said “it was evident from these figures that eligible voters had been excluded from the ECI list.”

The SIR draft roll published by the ECI on December 23, 2025 had 2,54,42,352 voters in all.
