Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has signed a shipbuilding contract with French shipping company CMA CGM for the construction of six 1,700 TEU LNG dual-fuel feeder container vessels. The contract was signed between Jose V.J., chairman and managing director, CSL, and Rodolphe Saadé, chairman and chief executive officer, CMA CGM, according to a communication. Designed with dual-fuel engines capable of operating on liquefied natural gas (LNG), the vessels will significantly reduce emissions compared to conventional fuels.
