Chezhiaan The Tamil Nadu government has decided to have a university-level single-window system for Ph.D admissionsto ensure transparency, Minister for Higher Education Govi. Chezhiaan informed the Assembly on Thursday. Referring to complaints regarding transparency in allocation of guides for Ph.D guides, he said single-window system was being adopted in Periyar University, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, and Tiruvalluvar University. This system will also be adopted in all State-run universities, he said. The Minister further said that the State government has decided to adopt the university-level single window system for Ph.D. admissions in all State-run universities across the State. A software will be put in place to ensure transparency in allocation academic guides for Ph.D research scholars and a State-level committee will monitor the admissions in all levels, Mr. Chezhiaan added.
