Indonesia has proposed setting up a Hyderabad–Jakarta Technology Skills Development Corridor to facilitate the exchange of technological talent and the State’s expertise in the startup ecosystem. The proposal was discussed during a meeting between IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu and a high-level Indonesian delegation led by Vice Minister for Communications and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in Delhi on Thursday. Mr. Patria requested Telangana to take the lead in establishing the corridor and sought technical support for implementing Indonesia’s National Digital Roadmap. The delegation also called upon Telangana to share the State’s expertise in strengthening emerging enterprises and the startup ecosystem. Mr. Sridhar Babu said Telangana would support Indonesia’s digital transformation efforts and partner in areas such as technology talent alignment, ethical Artificial Intelligence and policy frameworks. He expressed confidence that linking Telangana’s IT ecosystem with Indonesia’s digital priorities would enhance global visibility for the State’s technology capabilities and strengthen bilateral digital cooperation. The discussions, at the meeting with the delegation, focused on strengthening digital collaboration between Telangana and Indonesia, including skill development, talent identification, technology innovation and cooperation in the startup ecosystem, Mr.Sridhar Babu’s office said in a release.
