New Vice-Chancellor appointed at BLDEDU

Arun C. Inamadar, professor of dermatology and a specialist in paediatric dermatology, assumed charge as the Vice-Chancellor of BLDE (Deemed to be University) in Vijayapura on February 19.

He had been serving as the officiating Vice-Chancellor till now.

“Prof. Inamadar is a distinguished scholar, with international recognition in the fields of medical education and research. Apart from his service to medical education and healthcare in BLDE, he has authored hundreds of articles published in globally acclaimed medical journals and continues to serve as a mentor to numerous young doctors and researchers. He has also held significant responsibilities in premier bodies such as the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL). He has received the National Best Medical Teacher award from the Indian Medical Association, Lifetime Achievement award from IADVL, Karnataka, and Best Paediatric Dermatologist award from International Society and Paediatric Dermatology, U.S.,’’ said a release.

Pro-Chancellor Y.M. Jayaraj greeted him on behalf of M.B. Patil, Minister and BLDE society chairman, and B.M. Patil, Chancellor. Dr. Jayaraj said that under Dr. Inamdar’s academic leadership, the university will grow to new heights.

Patil, dean, Allied Health Sciences, Vijaykumar Kalyanappagol, medical director and senior vice-principal, Kusal K. Das, distinguished chair professor of physiology, M.M. Patil, director, research cell, Satish B. Patil, deputy registrar, Ravikumar Biradar, deputy medical superintendent, teaching and non-teaching staff, and others were present.
