Organisers of Illuminate 4.0 addressing presspersons in Mysuru on Thursday. | Photo Credit: M.A. Sriram L&T Technology Services Limited, in partnership with The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, will host the fourth edition of its flagship industry-academia initiative, ‘Illuminate’, themed ‘Perspectives in Frontier Technologies’. The fourth edition, Illuminate 4.0, will explore frontier technologies ranging from nanosciences to advanced aeronautics. The event will feature two of India’s distinguished scientific and technological leaders — Navakanta Bhat, dean, Division of Interdisciplinary Sciences and professor at CeNSE, IISc, and Shri Y. Dilip, director, ADE, DRDO. The dignitaries will share insights on deep tech, nanoelectronics, applied solutions across intelligent mobility, healthcare technologies, and digital infrastructure, highlighting how India can position itself as a global hub for AI-driven engineering solutions. The details of the event were shared at a press conference here on Thursday by representatives from NIE. The programme will conclude with a fireside chat moderated by Ashish Khushu, CTO, L&T Technology Services, with Prof. Bhat and Mr. Dilip as panellists. The session will focus on AI-embedded solutions, the rise of frontier technologies, and Engineering Intelligence, aimed at building intelligence into systems. Illuminate 4.0 will be open to the public on February 21 at the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Convocation Hall, from 9.30 a.m. onwards.
