The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has postponed the dharna it had planned to hold on Friday in front of the Secretariat, demanding that small hospitals be exempted from the ambit of the Kerala Clinical Establishments Act. In a statement here on Wednesday, IMA’s State leaders said that the dharna was being postponed following discussions with Health Minister Veena George, who had given the assurance that the suggestions put forth by the IMA regarding the implementation of the KCE Act would be given due consideration.
