Vehicle in A.P. Deputy CM’s convoy meets with accident, none injured

A vehicle in the convoy of Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) president K. Pawan Kalyan was involved in a minor accident at China Waltair in the city on Wednesday.

Mr. Pawan Kalyan was not inside the vehicle at the time of the accident. The incident occurred when the convoy was on its way to a hotel to escort the Deputy Chief Minister to the International Fleet Review (IFR) programme. No security personnel were injured in the mishap.

According to the police, the convoy was proceeding towards Rushikonda from Siripuram when one of the vehicles applied sudden brakes. Another vehicle of the convoy coming from behind rammed into it, resulting in minor damage to the side portion of the vehicle.

Police officials replaced the damaged vehicle and cleared the road to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Later, Mr. Pawan Kalyan and his wife Anna Konidela were safely escorted to the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) to participate in the programme.
