Youth hacks to death father after deceased attacked his wife near Sattur

In a fit of anger, a youth M. Surendran (21) hacked to death his father, S. Manikandan, after the deceased inflicted cut injury on his wife Maheswari under the influence of alcohol near here on Wednesday.

Police said that even while quarrelling, Manikandan had picked a machete hit his wife in which she sustained injury on her hand at their home at Karisalpatti near Elayirampannai.

Their son who was angered over the incident, pulled the weapon from his father and hacked him to death in the afternoon.

The body has been taken to Virudhunagar Government medical College hospital.

Elayirampannai police are investigating.
