The Kottayam District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), in association with the Drugs Control department, Kerala, has launched a series of awareness programmes across the district on the theme antimicrobial resistance. DLSA chairperson and principal district judge Manoj M. inaugurated the initiative on Tuesday at a function held at the Kottayam Collectorate compound. DLSA secretary and senior division civil judge Praveen Kumar G. presided over the function. District judges Lilly K. and Satheesh Kumar V., chief judicial magistrate Tejomayi Thampuratti, and assistant drugs controller Aju Kurian were present, along with district drugs inspectors Tara S. Pillai and Babita K. Vazhiyil. A flash mob performed by students of the Centre for Professional and Advanced Studies and a skit staged by students of Caritas College of Pharmacy were also part of the programme.
