Continuing its crackdown on the illegal supply network of MDMA and ganja, the CCB police in Mysuru seized drugs worth ₹6.35 lakh and arrested two suspected drug peddlers from Bengaluru.

A statement by the city police said narcotic substances including 51.83 grams of MDMA worth ₹5.1 lakh and 2.23 kg of ganja worth ₹1.25 lakh were seized by the police on February 17.

Additionally, a car valued at around ₹3 lakh, used for transporting the drugs, was also seized.

The arrested persons have been identified as Pramod, 27, and Vikas, 23, both residents of Bengaluru, who were allegedly involved in supplying drugs to Mysuru. A case has been registered at the Metagalli police station and the accused have been remanded to judicial custody.

The city police said it had mounted surveillance against drug suppliers and peddlers in the city, and strict action will be taken against the networks supplying illegal narcotic substances from other districts and states to Mysuru.

The public has been requested to share information with the police regarding the supply, sale, transport, or consumption of narcotic substances in the city.
