The Visvesvaraya Technological University’s Regional Centre in Mysuru is set to host the regional-level Techno-Cultural Fest ‘YUKTI 2026’ on February 19 and 20 as part of its annual activities, bringing together students from engineering colleges across the region. The two-day festival offers a platform for students to showcase their artistic talents alongside their technical skills. Around 53 engineering colleges are expected to participate in a wide range of competitions covering both technical and cultural domains. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, regional director H.M. Nanjundaswamy said the event aims to uphold and promote the State’s rich cultural heritage. He noted that Vice-Chancellor S. Vidyashankar has played a key role in organising the festival and will inaugurate the event. The fest will also feature appearances by film actors Sharan, Sonal Monteiro, and Dhananjay Kumar, along with singers Vasuki Vaibhav and Anish Vidyashankar. The valedictory ceremony will be held on February 20. Competitions lined up include Group Classical Dance, Solo Dance, Rangoli, Fashion Show, Short Play, Mime, Dumb Charades, Collage, Code Rush (Coding Challenge), Fire Hacks, Painting, Photography, Mad Ads, Solo and Group Singing, New Product Launch, Group Dance, Stand-up Comedy, and a General Knowledge Quiz. Participation is open to registered students from the competing institutions. Faculty members present at the press conference included Ali Ahmed, Prakruthi P., Prasannakumar, Keerthi Gowda, and Timmaraju.
