Children injured in the fire being treated at a hospital in Dharwad on Friday. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Six persons, including three children, suffered burns in a fire allegedly triggered by a LPG cylinder leak in a house at Hosayellapur limestone kiln area of Dharwad on Friday. The incident occurred at the house of Ismail Horakeri on Friday morning. Unaware of the LPG cylinder leakage, he lit the gas stove to prepare food. The fire quickly spread in the house, causing burns to the inmates. The fire was extinguished later. The injured were initially rushed to District Civil Hospital in Dharwad, but subsequently shifted to KMCRI Hospital in Hubballi for further treatment.
