The jallikattu organised at Edaiyathur and Neivasal villages in the district on Tuesday left 22 people injured. As many as 849 bulls were released during the event at Edaiyathur with 240 tamers participating. Sixteen people were injured and 15 were treated at the venue. One person was referred to hospital. Six persons were injured at the event organised at Neivasal. A total of 136 bulls were released with 100 tamers participating. Three of the injured were referred to hospital, while three others were treated at the venue, police sources said.
