The label is positioned as a platform for both film and non-film music, with a strong emphasis on original pop releases and the discovery of emerging talent. Best known for reshaping contemporary Indian film music over the past decade, Anirudh has delivered some of the most commercially successful soundtracks and background scores across Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema. With Albuquerque Records, he moves beyond composing and performing into long-term music ownership, aiming to build a catalogue rooted in creative independence and sustainability. The label will initially house select original soundtracks from Anirudh’s upcoming film projects, alongside all his independent pop releases, while also introducing new artists and voices within the regional pop space. Business operations at Albuquerque Records will be led by B Kaushik, who has been appointed Label Head and COO. Kaushik brings over 15 years of experience in South Indian film and pop music and has previously worked with Anirudh during the early phase of his career. Alongside the label announcement, Anirudh also revealed plans for a large-scale concert tour titled Rockstar Anirudh XV: 15 Years With You, celebrating 15 years of his music career. The tour will open in Hyderabad on March 21, 2026, at the Gachibowli Outdoor Stadium, marking his first-ever live concert in the city. Ticket pre-registrations for the Hyderabad concert are currently live on BookMyShow, with pre-sale opening on February 19, followed by general sales on February 20. The tour follows the success of Anirudh’s previous Hukum Tour, which drew record-breaking crowds across multiple cities.
