A 27-year-old gig worker from Mehrauli employed with a ride-hailing company was killed after a truck rammed into his motorcycle at Vasant Kunj in south-west Delhi on Monday. According to the Delhi police, the Vasant Kunj police received a PCR call at 11 a.m. informing them about the incident that occurred on Church Road. The police said an FIR has been registered under Sections 281 (rash or negligent driving) and 106(a) (causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The truck driver fled from the spot and teams have been deployed to trace and apprehend the accused, the police said.
