No irrigation scheme for Salem in DMK regime, alleges Pasumai Thaayagam president

Pasumai Thaayagam president Sowmiya Anbumani on Monday alleged that no irrigation scheme was provided to Salem district by DMK regime on Monday

As part of her Statewide tour, Ms. Anbumani participated in a meeting with women on Steel Plant Road.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Anbumani claimed that for the Salem district, PMK provided a super specialty hospital and the Salem railway division while in power at the Centre. No steps have been taken to construct check dams across the river Sarabanga to address drinking water issues. If water is stored in the Sarabanga river, it could be supplied to 15 lakh people. But in five years of DMK regime, no irrigation or water management projects were implemented in district. DMK knows how to cheat women to grab their votes, she added.
