The Mission Director of Amaravati State Quantum Mission, Amaravati Quantum Valley, C.V. Sridhar, said the State government was putting in place international standard facilities in Andhra Pradesh to foster the growth of quantum technology. He said the country will stand first among the top 10 countries in quantum technology in the coming days.

Speaking at the inaugural session of the one-week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Quantum Technology organised jointly by Rayalaseema University and Cluster University on Monday, Mr. Sridhar said quantum technology will be useful in every aspect of human life.

Mr. Sridhar said India should stand first among the leading nations in quantum technology and emerge as an exporter of quantum computers in the future. He emphasised the role of teachers in shaping students grab the opportunities in quantum technology.

Rayalaseema University Vice-Chancellor V. Venkata Basavarao said quantum technology will play a key role in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat-Viksit Andhra Pradesh 2047. He said the future belongs to quantum technology and the faculty should be aware of its growth.

He said that quantum technology was built on three pillars — quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum sensing and materials — and the FDP will provide both theoretical knowledge and hands-on training to the faculty members.
